Mr. Safyurtlu has developed numerous projects for film, television, and online in the entertainment industry over almost two decades. A licensed attorney in California, he has practiced in the business world for 25 years. As founder of TACSCOM, Mr. Safyurtlu is primarily responsible for bringing the TACSCOM concept to life, the creative vision for the game itself, and the overall strategy for expansion and direction of the League.

Steve Herbst, CCO and Executive Producer

Over a 30-year career in sports broadcasting, Mr. Herbst has led extraordinary advancements in the industry. As SVP of NASCAR, he established 10-year partnership agreements with NBC, Fox, and IMG Media. As EVP at CBS Sports, he managed all aspects of the 24-hour CBS College Sports Network. As SVP and GM at the NBA, he was responsible for launching NBA TV. Mr. Herbst will oversee all aspects of theTACSCOM on-air product and the development of the league.

In his military career, MG Young served as the founding Commanding General of the 75th Innovation Command, where he was tasked with bringing new private-sector technology to the U.S. Army. As Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army Reserves, he led the entire organization in a COO-like capacity. General Young will be responsible for overseeing all aspects pertaining to the conduct of the TACSCOM game.

As a General Officer, MG Sonntag commanded the US Army’s John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School, the Combined Joint Task Force Horn of Africa, and Special Operations Command (South). General Sonntag is in charge of TACSCOM game design and creation.

Michael Roth, CFO

Mr. Roth has been a corporate executive and entrepreneur for 30+ years. He has held management positions in finance, business development, sales, and marketing over an extensive and diverse global background, having worked for multinationals in globally (IRC Exec Search Partners.), Turkey (Citibank), and the U.S. (CBS Television). At CBS Television, Mr. Roth oversaw transformations of operational business lines after the network lost key sports properties. As a result, Michael spearheaded a new business unit to grow the field operations unit beyond traditional CBS properties.

Shervin Farivar, CTO

Mr. Farivar has served as the CTO of National Appraisal Guides, VP of Engineering and Technology for Motor Trend, and Senior Director of Technology for the NHRA.  Over a 27-year career in IT, he has emerged as a leader in software development and hardware architecture. Mr. Farivar has served on the advisory board of numerous startups, as well as assessing companies’ technology readiness and organization as an outside auditor and advisor. Mr. Farivar has set up numerous technology teams and has been involved in building live video and sports technology infrastructures from the ground up.

Command Sergeant Major John Troxell (US Army, Ret.), Consultant

As the highest-ranked enlisted man in the US Army, CSM Troxel served as the former Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Commander (“SEAC”) to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (“CJCS”), and the Secretary of Defense (”SecDef”). CSM Troxell also has longstanding ties back to that segment of the philanthropic community that is dedicated to serving the men and women of the Armed Forces and their families, which is of critical importance to TACSCOM.

Command Sergeant Major Tabitha Gavia (US Army, Ret.), VP, Communications

CSM Gavia is a 33-year veteran of the United States Army. She has held numerous Senior Enlisted Advisor positions throughout her time in service and is a veteran of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. CSM Gavia has made life-changing impacts on people throughout her time in the Army and is ready to translate her experience and dedication to her next career.

Mike Rokosa, CEO

Mr. Rokosa is a 40-year veteran of the sports broadcast industry, including 15 years at the NBA and 18 years at CBS Television. He has led projects including the Superbowl, Daytona 500, the Final Four, US Open Tennis, and the Grammy Awards. A Navy veteran, Mr. Rokosa has been a pioneer in live sports television. He is primarily responsible for leading the formation and development of the TV technology essential to the success of the TCL, as well as overseeing all operational aspects of the venture.
