Game Play and Mission Objective
A TACSCOM battle will consist of three 30-minute skirmishes, with 10-minute ceasefires between each. There will be multiple engagements within each skirmish conducted on battlefields with varying terrains. Each battlefield is approximately four football fields in size.
The two co-ed teams can field up to 16 operators at a time. These operators will be drawn from the team’s roster of 30 and may be categorized into specialties, including marksman, medics, intelligence, demolition, and technical specialists.
Each team will have a command post located at opposite ends of the battlefield. Fans will have unprecedented access: they will see and hear orders from the Command Post in real-time, resulting in a richer and more engaging experience.
The battle objectives are to capture the opponent’s territory and high-value targets. The team that scores the most points during the skirmishes is the winner of the battle. Points are primarily earned for securing the other team’s territory, capturing their opponent’s high-value target, and ensuring disabled teammates are not left on the battlefield. While shooting and disabling opponents is an essential element, no points are awarded for such activities.
Everything about a TACSCOM battle will be real – except the ammunition. This proprietary ammunition has been the sole source for the DoD to train the US Military and select law enforcement units since 2001 and only became available last year to civilians on a limited basis. From tracking suits to 360° helmet cameras, each operator will be outfitted with real tactical gear and an array of custom technology that will create an unprecedented view for fans to literally be in the midst of the battle.
